According to Guidobaldi and Pesando -
this room at the rear of the tablinum may have originally been used as an internal courtyard to give light and air.
It was then transformed into a living room.
The wall decoration was preserved on the zoccolo with a red background and with the remains of some of the middle zone in blue.

In this room was the well which guaranteed the water supply of the dwelling, without a cistern below the impluvium.
At the rear, was the outline of the stairs for access to the rooms of the upper floor.
